Liu Wei lives and works in his native Beijing, where he was born in 1972. In 1996 he graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts in Hangzhou. Featured in several international group shows, including ‘Beijing in London’ at the ICA in London and the 1st Guangzhou Triennial he was also selected to represent China in last year’s first Chinese Pavilion at the 51st Venice Biennial.
